I'm coming down with a cold. This information has supplanted any other stuff I was going to blog about; indeed, it has supplanted anything useful in my brain whatsoever, and replaced it with roving viruses of the mucus-producing variety.
At least I don't have very much going on right now. Or rather, I don't have anything extra beyond the ridiculous amounts of stuff I'm already doing. Nobody's visiting this week. We're not going anywhere; we already went places the past few days. Last night was fun, especially since I wasn't sick yet. We met up with a friend of mine from grad school, Rachel, and her husband, and all four of us took in a basketball game in Sacramento. We had some pizza and beer at the game, and did a lot of cheering. Rachel has a cool house, which you'll find pictures of somewhere on her blog.
Here, finally, is a picture of our house, complete with new-ish coat of blue paint, our household project from last summer. Still to come: pictures of the hallway fridge and new kitchen floor.

hey - sorry to hear you're feeling bad! We had a fun time Tuesday night - thanks again for thinking of us...I hope we can do it again sometime...Also, I like that shade of blue on your house...it's very pretty...
Oh, how cute is your little house! Mine isn't worth taking pictures of as the stained and horrible carpet is still present and accounted for, the kitchen is still a 1970's non-retro kitsch disaster, and only the living room has been recently painted... but, every time I get a new thing (copper colored drapes in the living room this week) that's worth snapping, I take a pic. (Double paned windows and attic insulation did not count.)Meanwhile, I sympathize with the fuzzy cold brain - I *HATE* getting sick. Loathe. And I'm quite the whiner about it... Hang in there...
You have a lawn to mow, too! Mwahahahaha...
There's a patch of lawn in the back, too! Argh. Along with a nice weed garden a.k.a. our someday back patio.
Hope you are feeling better. Your house is so cute. What's with the pile of wood in the front? Is that a bonfire waiting to happen?
Btw, I really enjoy your blog, it has inspired me to possibly start one of my own, however I have yet to establish a theme
Hi, Mimi! That was freshly sheared branches from our mulberry tree, waiting for the city truck to come pick them up with their fancy branch-scooping machinery.
I highly recommend blogging! You don't really need a theme...I don't have one, exactly. Just stuff I feel like putting up for the world (or 5 of my friends) to read!
